In the field of children's outdoor play, we firmly believe that the best designs originate from nature itself. As a design team specializing in non-standard outdoor play equipment, we recently completed a project centered around the pinecone as its core theme. This project deeply integrates geological wonders, ecological culture, and children's play experiences to create an imaginative, immersive fantasy forest playground with a strong sense of place identity.
We drew inspiration from local nature and culture, selecting the pinecone—a tangible natural element—as the unifying theme throughout. The pinecone is not only a symbol of the forest but also represents life, growth, and exploration. Using scenographic storytelling techniques, we constructed a complete forest adventure narrative:
Facilities such as Pinecone Houses, Climbing Nets, and Rope Bridge Systems simulate forest exploration scenarios, sparking children's imaginations.
Local flora like pine trees and ferns, alongside geological features like volcanic rock and streams, are translated into the design language of forms and colors, strengthening place identity.
We consistently adhere to a child-first design philosophy:
Age-Specific Facilities: Activity zones are divided by age group, with sand pits and gentle slides for younger children, and climbing walls and rope challenge courses for older kids.
Meticulous Safety Details: We use environmentally friendly soft surfaces (e.g., EPDM rubber) throughout, round all facility edges, and conduct regular structural stability inspections.
Natural Risk Mitigation: Embedded protective railings are installed in sloped or waterfront areas, ensuring safety without compromising the integrity of the natural experience.

We believe a playground can also be a classroom in nature:
Eco-Education Experiences: Interactive features like "Plant Identification Walls" and "Insect Observation Boxes" guide children to learn about local species from areas such as Yandang Mountain.
Communicating Sustainability: Facilities are built using recyclable materials, incorporating rainwater harvesting systems and educational displays on environmental protection to subtly foster ecological awareness in the next generation.
Parent-Child Collaboration Zones: Challenges designed for parents and children to complete together promote family bonding.

Throughout development, we implemented a low-impact principle:
A micro-renovation strategy preserved existing vegetation and topography, using elevated boardwalks and movable structures to minimize environmental disruption.
Supporting amenities include themed camping and rest areas, creating a family-friendly experience where parents can relax while watching their children play.
Dynamic operational management allows for regular seasonal theme updates and special events tied to local festivals, ensuring the playground's long-term appeal.

This project is more than just play equipment design; it is a dialogue between nature, culture, and child development. Through our non-standard design language, every facility becomes a starting point for exploration, and every space carries the story of its location.
Moving forward, we remain committed to our philosophy of "integrating design with nature, using play to inspire life," aiming to create more ecologically friendly and joyful children's spaces on this land.
